Maybe you can source the earlier version with no vents?

Go early..
I have thought up a slick Targa bar mod even Singer has yet to execute...will need a true metal smith to achieve. The rear flange that the glass seal affixes to, shave it, roll edge under and add a minimal (ideally undetectable) glass seal that press fits underneath to the window. ..sayin' ![]()

Those vents are air extractors for the cabin FYI. The corresponding vents above the seat belt holders are where the air leaves the car. On non-targas, this vent is above the rear window. Don't hate me if you knew that, just making the point that they're more than just decoration.

^^^ Yup, get ready to blow the top off when you find that you need to slam the door to shut it.

I figured they were cabin pressure related. And thanks for photo fix. I have several vented ones. Any one in s.c.have a non vented targa bar ? 2 for 1swsp? I think they are too bulky to ship without costing more than they are worth.
