Sway Bar Drop Link Deterioration
I think my sway bar drop link bushings are dying, but I'm not sure. They are at least 6 years old, and I was under the car for other reasons and noticed they seemed to be losing their rubber parts.
I would appreciate any input on how bad these look, and how their state might affect the car. Thanks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1554211995.jpg |
Yup, those are done. For replacements, be careful on the factory brand you buy; I remember a thread where one brand was not so good. On the other hand, you might consider adjustable drop links; they will last longer, and give you the ability to adjust for preload. Easy to replace in any case, though.

Yikes, looks like PP has OEM's at $150 each, and others at $30-$50. But the others are incorrectly manufactured.
