Sway Bar Drop Link Deterioration

I think my sway bar drop link bushings are dying, but I'm not sure. They are at least 6 years old, and I was under the car for other reasons and noticed they seemed to be losing their rubber parts.

I would appreciate any input on how bad these look, and how their state might affect the car. Thanks!

Yup, those are done. For replacements, be careful on the factory brand you buy; I remember a thread where one brand was not so good. On the other hand, you might consider adjustable drop links; they will last longer, and give you the ability to adjust for preload. Easy to replace in any case, though.

Yikes, looks like PP has OEM's at $150 each, and others at $30-$50. But the others are incorrectly manufactured.

It looks like they have some nice ones for 1/2 OEM cost. Our host sells them:

EDIT: Found a good discussion on the Tarett drop links: Experience with Tarett Adjustable Drop Links?
Some more info on the install process: Adjustable Rear Drop Link Attachment
