removing through the body sway bars

I'm replacing the bushings, cleaning stuff up, but I can't get the bar out. The rubber bushings on the end cap are a very tight fit. Any ideas?

I would try hitting one end with a good size hammer, with a piece of wood used to protect the bar itself. Hit the wood, held against the bar. Just needs some force.

I just removed mine about two hours ago. Applied a little heat with a propane torch. I bet a heat gun would also work. Just need to soften the rubber to get the flange off. good luck
