Help - it won't roll

He all, Just picked up a 75 911 with a 3.6 and a built 915. Great car but I am working out some bugs as the car has sat for a bit.

LOL, So, maybe I need to hit the gym or something, but all kidding aside, I can't roll the car much at all.

I jacked it up and its not sticking calipers, its something tranny related I think.

Right rear tire, can be turned forward with huge effort (and left rear also turns forward) and If I try to rotate the left rear tire (again, significant effort to do so, and the right wheel does not move). I have seen some tight trannys in my day, but nothing like this.

I can barely move the car in neutral.... All that said, it does roll OK when driving and I don't feel anything binding....

Thoughts?

You have parking brakes in the rear as well, maybe they have seized?

Disconnect both C.V. joints from the trans flanges. That will tell you for sure if it is the trans or something else.

carefull…..

try turning the motor over in neutral, or does it run?

I wouldn't expect both parking brakes to be seized

Thanks Rob, Will do

Otto, car runs great, although you can feel just a hint of drag when you first take off, kinda like the car has a spool or a really tight diff...

This is mostly an issue when pushing the car around the garage

If the offset is wrong a tire may be rubbing against a strut, unlikely but worth a look.
