What tool used for door arm rest lid?

The area is very tight for removing the phillips head screw and none of my short screw driver heads are short enough.

Have you used this tool for this specific job?
It looks like the head is too fat to sit flush against the screw.

How about a picture, don't know what screw you are referring to.

I use a tool very similar to yours. Works fine, just have to fiddle with it a bit.

How do you remove the pocket?

I was trying to remove the pocket to straighten it and thought I need to remove the lid. So I was looking for whatever screws I could find and it looked like the lid screw was the only screw holding the lid and pocket to the door card.

Kind of a rube goldberg ....

1/4' ratcheting box end with a phillips bit is about the shallowest I have used in similar conditions.

After you collect all of those changeable bit screw drivers you will have a variety from 3/4" to 3" bit lengths....all 1/4 inch hex.

hth.

I am also in the process of trying to figure out how to remove the door pockets. Look at the the PET diagram below. I am thinking screws 12, 16(multiple), 20, and 25 need to come out.

The question I have, will the door latching still work with the pocket removed?

The rube goldberg thing worked and now that I have it apart I can see how everything comes apart. I used an adjustable wrench since I didn't have a ratchet that would work with bit.
Now the other side will go much quicker.

Unless I don’t recall, all I’ve ever used to take a pocket off are Phillips screwdrivers. The lid and handle stay on unless you want to remove the door card.
