Wiring Harness
Where can I get a new wiring harness for a 77 911 3.0 (ROW). Could I make myself? Where could I get all the connectors? The pin box is in bad shape well not the part attached to the car but the connector part that snaps to it. I am thinking of doing some preventative medicine for the long winter. I do not have A/C, cruise or anything emissions related. I am assuming all the wires have connectors in the engine compartment if the wire runs off to some other part of the car. Is that correct?
Any rough $ amounts for a new harness? Thanks. |

I AM FAIRLY SURE YOU CAN NOT BUY them new. I suggest you look for a good used on e on the for sale section of this site. Someone has one out there in good condition off a crashed car.

I'd call our host first. They can usually get whatever is available. If they can't get it, try Hendrick Porsche, 800-315-8193, www.hendrickporsche.com or Stoddard Imported Cars, 800-342-1414, www.*************.
Good Luck

did a quick check. actual part number would depend on some of the options your car has. but, it looks like most of the engine harnesses cost between $290 and $400 new from Porsche

Try Part Heaven for a used one if Pelican can't get you one. When I had a mishap with a cutting wheel, I thought I was going to have to get a new/used one, and they quoted me $150 for a good used one for my CAB.

Argeo,
You can get a new connector 'kit' to replace either half of the 14-pin connectors, complete with all new parts ... several Pelicans have gone that route to refurbish the engine conpartment wiring!
