Clattering/clicking noise on a 3.2
I have an 89 Carrera Targa, low miles (43k), with new slotted rotors and new aggressive street pads. Lately I've noticed that after I've driven the car and gotten it warmed up, there is a clattering/clicking when backing up and hitting the brakes, and when then going forward (and hitting brakes) at slow speeds.
When driving normally again, and coming to stops I don't hear it. Also, don't hear it when it's cold. Sound unusual? A buddy of mine, who is a technician and knows 911s speculated that the aggressive pads don't have as much clearing in the caliper (room to expand) so there is a bit more movement there, and thus the sound..

Normal. Pads moving back and forth in the calipers.

Are you sure you don't have floating rotors in front?
