3.6 conversion tins?
anyone know where i can get 3.6 conversion tins? i'm looking for the piece that seals the corner near the power steering pump/cam cover. if you're facing the front of the car it's on the passenger side and forward.

Patrick Motorsports sells a complete fiberglass kit for the 3.6 conversions. Most guys fab a set from a 3.2 motor from what I've heard. That's what my mechanic did.

G50,
I modified the 964 tins that came with my 3.6....here is a pic of what I did at the former power steering pump location. I used aluminum to make a block-off plate.... ![]() |

I did exactly what pdtweeks did when I completed the build of my 3.6 last summer.

Made my own tin as well here ... i think i combined parts of the 3.2 and 993 bits that came with the engine.
I know the ready made parts from Patrick Motorsports are close to $1K , so i would suggest you make your own !

This is my plan as well. I have the 3.2 tins, as well as the 993 tins.
I'll make it all work, though I prefer to use the 993 tins over the 3.2 tins if possible. I wish there were more detailed write ups on this swap. I see three or four companies that offer most of these swap parts, and each claim to be better than the others, without giving a proper explanation as to why they are better. |

I use an old leaky oil cooler and cut out 3/4 of it so it’s just that upper shell. Mounts onto the factory location and looks correct when you look in the engine bay.
