Transmission tools for 915 box

I am about to open up a 915 gear box for a rebuild. I got rid of all my 915 tools some time ago and would like to see if someone will want to get rid of their two syncro tools.

Also the large tool for the input shaft nut on the gear stack, I can either buy a crow foot tool, or weld a 1/2 shaft on a large socket.

Can anyone tell me what size the nut is? I do not remember.

41mm (I hope). That's the size of tool I got.

Drimmel off the old dog teeth then heat and press on the new ones, no tool needed.

If you need the shift fork jig you can make your own.

or here is the .dxf https://drive.google.com/file/d/1anvc7IQeZjnWq6Kmcosa5HHxMKN6UTxH/view?usp=sharing

TrackRash,

I did the dremmel thing once, I did not think it was elegant or effective use of tool. I would pay for the synchro tools and then resell them afterward. Or just keep them.

As for the alignment tool, I bought one for $20 back then, I know it is $100 now for a fooking piece of plastic. What a rip.

Is that drawing dimension in millimeters?

Yes, millimeters. The tolerance is more like + - .125mm. Autocad got carried away with the zeros....

I have used a bearing separator to remove the dog teeth, but that is when I want to re-use the dog teeth. https://www.harborfreight.com/large-bearing-separator-3979.html?_br_psugg_q=bearing+puller

I kept an old used clutch plate for this purpose. Somehow I knew I was going to need it. I would screw it to the garage wall and use it to hold the input shaft while I torque or remove the big nut. I guess the crow foot or homemade version will have to do.

Worked like a charm! To loosen and tighten the nut. Best $10.95 I ever spent!
