source for NLA Bowden cable

In trying to replace the bowden for my fresh air fan on my 83 turns out any of the control cables from the unit center dash to fan, volume of fresh, or defrost /feet direction are NLA. However.... after searching for an hour or so on line I did find a Oregon mower throttle control cable OEP 60-522 https://www.amazon.com/Oregon-60-522-Throttle-Assembly-Replacement/dp/B0018TYIGY that was longer than needed and almost the exact wire size (it did fit into the connector hole that is impossible to find).
The cables noted on PET catalog are only to control between the left and right boxes , not to control from dash to box.

I was under the impression the cruise control bowden cable was NLA. I called my local dealer and bang... 3 days later it was in my hands from Porsche Germany. Might be worth a shot.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

I called our host the other day and they said NLA. Point is that the cable is exactly the same at half the price for a mower of all things

I've gotten few over the years and recently from Suncoast when Pelican said NLA.

Is the cable broken? If just sticky, I was able to remove and lube mine and the controls work like new.
However, if a mower cable fits and works, why not use it?

If you have to old cable, take it to a bike shop. They can often fab one up from parts on hand.

Bowden cable

I just called my local Porsche dealer about a new Bowden cable. He told me there were 13 of them in Atlanta and 124 in Germany. I could be the proud owner of the cable Assy for about $230.00.
