what is the standard fuel pump for a 1988 3.2 ?

Hi,

wanted to replace the rusted bolts on the fuel pump, so described to the parts store what items I wanted...then all of a sudden they ask 'OK, but do you have the short or the long neck fuel pump'...

I'm like, I have the 1988 3.2 pump ?

hmm...what's the difference between the two ? how can you tell ?

All I can give you is the Bosch ref. number: 0 580 464 069
This is what I bought 5 years ago and it was a perfect fit.
Right now only costs 110 euros (or dollars) here in Europe.
This was for a 1988 3.2 by the way.
