Which throttle return spring

i was going to replace the throttle return spring at the throttle body but I see there are 2

I believe the one im looking for is the top one shown below from the catalog..can someone please confirm this?

What is the smaller one for? I might as well replace both of them if there is another spring located somewhere else

The thread I thought would be helpful, isnt.

So I received, like the poster in the other thread, the new return spring and it is much smaller when unsprung than the original (I assume its original) and with fewer coils

I installed it anyway and it seems ok.....

Anyone have any input on whether this is the wrong spring or not? PP catalog said it was correct.....one thing I noticed, the bag it came in says return spring for "at throttle socket". So far, I have not been able to confirm what a throttle socket is exactly
