Need a good low profile JACK
It seems everyone is sold out of the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ which is the one I really wanted. I have one of the Harbor Freight aluminum jacks, which is okay for up to 19". Any suggestions?

I just bought--hasn't arrived yet--a low-profile jack from Northern Tool & Equipment. The basic reason I picked it is that it's exactly the one that Pelican sells for $208, but for $150. Made by Omega. 2.5-ton low-profile jack, one stroke to lifting height, goes to 20" (Which may be too low for you--can't remember, since the thread isn't visible to me as I write this, what you said the limit of your current jack was.) Item 144470-c171, page 243 in their current catalogue.

The Harbor Freight jack (made by US General) is fine if you just going to use it for light duty, tire swaps, brake jobs ect. It is not a good track jack. I used mine for one season, appx 20 track days and it is falling apart! The main lift arm no longer is straight, the lifting plate has cracked around the edges and under load it is iffy.
I also have the AC jack for the garage and it is a fantastic jack, just too heavy to drag to the track. You get what you pay for!

So is this Jack too tall for you? Maybe if he scrunched down?
