Custom ATS Cookies WHO OWNS THIS CAR!?

I'll put my neck out there...

If anyone knows the owner or is the owner of this car, please send me a PM, I am seriously interested in either the wheels or the process that was carried out to achieve those wheels.

Saucy

they appear to be widened CC. Contact Harvey Weidman, He probably did them, or for sure knows how to do them for you

Harvey almost certainly didn't do them as I asked him to widen a set for me in 2008 or so and he said since Cookies are cast it's not a good idea.

love them, just want wider ones.

I also looked into widening cookies, I found a company that can, but when I inquired about it locally I was told it might be risky - for the same reason - that it's cast aluminum.

Alternatively, I reached out to AWC, the company that did the custom AMMO car wheels and they said they could do a custom cookie-esq wheel. It looks to be about a 4k proposition though.

I thought it would be cool to do a special offset (like a 911R, but 31mm offset instead - so no spacer needed for a n/b car) cookie, with a bit of a modern twist. It would be deep dish, and allow a 225/50 sized tire in the rear.

The above photo, is one of two cars that I've seen with widened cookies. Here is the other.

I think that brown car is on stock cookies

15x7,8 with 235/225 Toyo R888

3/4 to 1" rake measured at the rubber meets metal line on the rocker.

Front ride height is ~24" at the fender.

He either has bad geometry (lower control arms are nowhere close to level) or has raised spindles to the max for 15" wheels.

I have only messed with one car that low in the rear and it has fancy short rear shocks. Not sure if you can run that low in the rear without fear of bottoming shocks. Check on that.

Driven97 (Matt) had some Euromeisters widened. So there are wheel shops that are willing to widen cast wheels.

9" front wheels under Carrera flares.

My car has 7x15s all around with 205/55s in the front and 225/50s in the back. Easy to do with some reasonable negative camber and rolled fender lips. So if all you want is 225s, you can do that now on a narrow body car.

I'd like some super wide Pirelli Corsa Classics. 235/45s and 305/35s.

You know the person?

Better yet, you know where to get 8" cookies!? It's obvious that the barrels on the rears are not stock...

From the research I was doing, the biggest size CCs came in was 15x7?

I'm on month 4 of looking for a solution, all arrows point to those being widened wheels.

Looks like we're talking to the same people.

If I had turbo fenders, I'd go with deep dish and concave spoke CC from AWC, like the Fuchs they made for Sema.

I'm willing to spend the $$ only because they'll be one-off. I can't see spending that $ with a Rotiform, BBS, or Fiske where countless other people have the same wheels that cost $6k for a set. If/when others were to buy the design from AWC, I'd be proud to know I was the pioneer.

I'm finding that more people like CCs than most would think, just that the lack of available sizes is prohibitive

Oh, thats right....cookies are 6 and 7" aren't they. I was thinking they came in 7 and 8.

Forgot about that. I do not know that person just messing around with similar ride heights and 15" wheels.

If they are custom I would guess 8s and 9s then with the 235/225 R888s

Cookies have always been my favorite look on a 911, probably because that was the poster on my bedroom wall back in the day.

I was bummed when I discovered that I couldn't get them in 16" sizes for my SC.

I like them too. Think we could get a better price from AWC if we got enough interest for a “group” buy? I’d be down for a set, preferably in 16”.

I think this is correct, but maybe it's the 255/50-16 rear. It's tall at 25.9" and pinched onto an 8" wheel might give that balloon look to the sidewall. The height of the tire also makes the car appear lower due to it going up further into the wheel well.

The 255 16" R888 (and newer R888R) are approved to run on a rim as narrow as 7". Bet that combo looks nuts.

Yup, that looks nuts. 255/50-16 on 16x7" wheels. Looks like the old days of SCCA stock class.

The brown car clearly has an additional step in the barrel of the rear wheel. It does not look to be stock.
