911T local help

Hi, folks. I am closing in on finishing my 1973 911T restoration and have stumbled at the fuel system and final electrical parts. I'm wondering if I can bribe anyone near Santa Cruz, CA with free burritos and ice cream to bring their car to my shop so I can put eyes on an actual system working. I've combed forums but have found many different suggestions. All of them have been helpful but there are things still not clear.

I'm hoping someone out there was once in my position and wished a fellow 911 owner could've come by to help. I promise when she's complete I'll offer the same to the next person undertaking this endeavor.

Thank you for your consideration.

A few things to do that will help in your quest:

1-Add your location to your profile;
2-Reach out to your local PCA Chapter (join PCA if you have not already). See if they have an event that will let you see other cars;
3-If there is some type of Cars and Coffee gathering in your area attend and seek out other 911 owners. Often they will let you look photograph what you need during the meet.

All good suggestions, Harry. Per usual, you're prompt and helpful.
I plan to move to Portland in a year or so. Perhaps, if this thing is still not running I'll come find you.

In the meantime, I'm still hoping someone out there would consider stopping by or letting me come snoop at theirs to gain some much needed insight. I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

I’m currently rebuilding my ‘73T mfi engine at my shop space in San Carlos; rest of the car is here as well. Fuel tank is out, but everything else is all there... You’d be more than welcome to come take a look if you find yourself in the neighborhood. PM me for details if you’re interested!

Thank you very much, Jake. When I sort out my next trip over the hill I'll get in touch with you. I appreciate this.

When you come this way, car running or not, it would be good to meet each other.

Let me know when you are in town.
