Porsche Crest Fire Extinguisher Bracket in a 911

Where are you mounting your fire extinguisher in your 911's? This is a street car, sans harness bar or cage. I understand Brey Krause does a bracket, where does it go and is this a good one?

The BK bracket installs on the seat rail, just in front of the seat. Typically the pass seat. Here's my low-cost solution.

I have the Brey Krause mount and love it. It does not get in the passengers way unless there less than 5 foot tall. It looks pretty neat as well. It is nice to keep it this close.

The BK brackets come in at least a couple of flavors. Some move with the seat and some restrict the seats movement. I recommend getting an extinguisher holder with 2 straps. I don't see them listed by our host but OG Racings has the 2 strap flavor. For DE events you will need a holder with at least one strap. The one in pjv911's picture appears to have no straps at all and wouldn't pass tech in the regions I drive with.

Nope no straps. I could install one easily but its optional . Car is used for street only.

This outfit carries the extinguisher mounts that move with the seat.

Here are a couple of pictures from OG Racing's web site.
Single strap holder:

Double strap holder:

I used to have a BK bracket in my 911. Now I have the extringuisher bolted behind the passenger seat. It's within arms reach, I can move the seat back and forth again and it isn't snagging passenger's ankles. I bolted it to the vertical wall just in front of the rear passenger seat. It makes that rear seat unusable but I have a roll bar so no one is going to ride back there anyway. If you decide to bolt the extinguisher behind the seats, do not bolt it to the cover on the "hump" back there.
For my 944 I made a bracket out of 1/8" aluminum and bolted it under the seat tracks.
