3.0 RSR engine

Hi,
hope you guys can give me some feedback on a rsr engine that I can buy, do those numbers exist and is there a car that can be coupled to this engine?
I am from Belgium and the engine is located in Germany.
Thanks in advance and regards,
Nico

People always say it's too far to travel, send money based on some pics and promises and then are upset when the deal goes south. If it's worth buying, it's worth making the trip to verify it exists and bringing along someone who knows what they are looking at.

I am not up on the RSR's so do not know what year this is supposed to be, but if you have not done so yet, you may want to post over on Early911sregistry. They seem to have more knowledge on these early cars. Nominally they are interested thru 1973.

keep up informed on how it turns out.

Rsr engine

Ok,first glance. If the motor is more than $50,000 run.Intake valve covers, wire set, headers, fiberglass shroud, obviously engine number,Slide Valve injection is a repop.Chain housing covers should have an oil line to the center and they are pure magnesium.Fan may be a correct size but the color is too dark to be original.German repop.More pics please.Fred

Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback! The production number seems very high to me?
I could do a partial trade so it could be interesting, but at least the number should be ok...
Thanks again

3.0 rsr

Number is bogus I have to say the best fake font I have seen to this day.To pull it off they should have sprayed muriatic acid on about 3 times with water and repeated until color was correct.Ciao

A closeup of the injection pump will be telling also, if that hasn’t been mentioned.

injection pump

Pump would have a steady rod with a rubber bushing from the top of the pump to over by the O.P. Switch. There are many nuances with these motors.Maybe Steve Gold will post a pic of his RSR motor instead of you asking to send you one.Rebuilt by Brumos tech.Show us the pic for $150,000.Everyone wants a pic even if they know what it looks like.

MFI pump looks to be a 70 - 71 single solenoid E or S standard pump not RSR.
