Engine Compartment Electrical Connections - wire clips
Hello,
I was just prepping to drop the 3.2L in my SPEC 911 for winter maintenance and was wondering if there is an official method or tool for unhooking the electrical connectors that are held together with those little wire clips? I used a small flat blade screwdriver to pry the wire clips away, then was able to unhook the connector and then replace the clip for re-connection. Is there some other/better way to get at those little wire clips? I tried using some circle clip pliers, but really, the screwdriver method worked best. Thanks, Tom

A lot of people suggest to rock and pull the connector off. The springs will stretch to allow it.
But, with the age and brittleness of those connectors, you are likely doing it the best way.
