What parts do I need to add intercooler to '77 930?

Hi,
Leaving the larger tail aside, can anyone tell me exactly what's needed to add a stock 3.3L 930 intercooler to my '77 3.0 930 engine? The pieces that come to mind are:

-new airbox/filter assembly? Can I just buy the later one?

-the intercooler

-new pipe that runs from the turbo's outlet to the intercooler - is this a little straight piece that goes right up to the IC? How does it attach?

-new pipe that attaches the outlet side of the IC to the cast intake assembly. Can I keep the intake (the large piece that has the recirc. valve)?

What else am I missing? I'm just pondering this right now. I haven't bought any parts yet but am tempted.

Thanks!
Colin

I think the intake is different on the two motors so the intercooler outlet pipe would have to be modifyed

Yesterday I got a 3.3L Intercooler home to me and today I gonna fit it into my 930 `77

I also got a huge intercooler but I need to change the wing to get it in...

So anyway I gonna mount this 3.3L cooler and drive with it in a couple of mounths. (to I have the bigger wing..)

I hope I be able to answer to all your question after this weekend.

I will try to post some pics on it!

Blown, I was wondering about the intake...I'll have to try to look at the 3.0 and 3.3 side by side.

Jocke, that would be awesome if you could post pictures and let me know how it goes. Good luck!

Thanks,
Colin

Well Colin!

I havenīt done as much as I planed today but the intake is different just like Dean said.

I start with making a pipe that will connect the cooler and the intake, a problem is that the angle on the pipe been pretty sharp, but I will solved it some how...

Anyway hereīs some pics that shows you the difference between the intake and the cooler it also shows the pipe under construction.

More pics to come.

Thanks Jocke,
It looks like you are making good progress. What are you doing about the recircluation valve that used to be on top of the throttle body? Is there a new valve that is not visible in your picture, or are you adding something later?

Thanks for the update, and keep them coming!

Colin
