Shout out to Salerno motorsports
Took the beast in for a leaky shift rod seal. Obviously I could drop the engine/gearbox myself and it would be a simple fix but after searching the forum I heard of others doing this repair without dropping the motor. Thought I might give it a shot but after jacking the car up and crawling under there was no way I would want to tackle this. Took it into Salerno Motorsports and they said no problem. As you can tell the car is highly modded with a built turbo 3.2/915 gearbox so after trying to explain all of the small things to watch out for with car, (let scavenge pump run for a few seconds after shut-down, ect) the owner assured me that he knew exactly what this car was all about and even races a longhood with a turbo 3.3. Not only did they replace the seal but the car was ready the very next day. As a guy who does everything himself I was extremely hesitant about leaving the car in anyone else's care. Needless to say they did an amazing super fast repair (engine in car) on a highly modded air cooled back date. I just thought that was cool.
They also did some work on the 997 and they are all around a great shop to do business with if you own a Porsche of any era and live in Nor Cal. (Salerno Motorsports link below) Salerno Motorsports Inc.

Tranny oil leaks where shift rod ... uh ... penetrates the tranny .... casing.

Thanks. Wasn’t sure if there was anything else other than the leak itself.
