Good News for those looking for (80s/90s) period correct headunit

This may have already been posted . . . If so, sorry for the duplication. I just came across this article about Blaupunkt reproducing period correct (Bremen model line) headunits with modern conveniences like AUX in and Bluetooth. Costing about $500, they are Less expensive than the Porsche Classic headunit https://apple.news/AggVV9BhnSgSSfRmN4JOutQ

Looks nice! In searching for a head unit, I found that what looks most appropriate is having a matte, flat faceplate. Unfortunately, most head units today are glossy and curved.

VDO Continental also makes a nice looking modern radio, though I have no personal experience how it sounds. Available at BergvillF/X.

I have no radio, and I kind of like it that way, but I wouldn't mind fitting one of these, IF they come to the US.

i bought a a $10 sony cassette deck at my local car audio place. They had it in their attic for the last 15 years. It had a switch that allowed it to act as a passive amplifier with RCA inputs. I plug my phone into those RCA's and stream what I want. Not the best setup for again, $10. This retro blau looks exactly like what I would want! An alternate would be good for those that have the original radio installed, or a block off plate too. You could install one of these hidden setups and control if completely from your smart phone: Out of Sight Audio - Hidden Bluetooth Audio and Hands Free Calling for any vehicle.

No line out connectors on the VDO, only four speaker level connections.

I added line level outs. To 2 amps and a sub. Works. I went overboard with Focal speakers. Sounds great in my loud car but I often forget to turn on the tunes whilst driving lol | ||
