Is used carpet worth it?

Hi,
I have an opportunity to buy used carpet that looks in great shape.
I was told not to do it as once removed it’s all stretched and not the same.

Has anyone purchased used carpet and what is your experience?

I know new is new but it’s three times the cost.

Thank you

Carpet.

I replaced my carpets with all new.

Used the existing for sizing.

Pay a shop to do the beading as needed.

I bought used carpet once for my 911 through ebay it looked perfect and it was but it smelled like horses no matter what I did I could not get the smell out of it. So I threw it away and bought new.

New carpet is such a huge plus for the looks of your interior that unless you got the used carpet for free and just needed to get your car finished I think you would be wasting money.

I am in the same situation, except my carpet is not very common.

Did you buy your pcar used? And you sat in the used seats? Eeuuuu! 😮 did you know who and where the previous butts were from?

You could have carpet professionally cleaned, but w/o knowing the breed of animal that previously inhabited it........ ??
