911 sc, 930 etc. 3 spoke steering wheel horn pad wiring? ( RESOLVED )

Hope someone could help me out on this one:

- Trouble I have, is with a 1976 930. When I got it had an aftermarket steering wheel, but original 3 spoke steering wheel followed with the car.

-- A similar steering wheel is pictured in this thread

- I have installed original steering wheel, and I routed "the horn wire" from the base of the steering wheel, through one of the circular holes - and attached it to horn pad.

- Now every time I go full lock with the steering wheel, the wire seems to snap, or detach. ( in which case the loose ending with touch surrounding metal, and horn will sound)

Seems to be the wire is too short, but I have also doubts, that should there be a wire at all from indicator switch into the steering wheel, and going forward to horn?

The logic of a wire turning every time with steering wheel would seem to be like not a lasting solution, as the wire would get worn pretty quickly? Also I don't understand, how the wire could circulate around steering column with the wheel, without getting entangled? Could someone please tell how steering wheel horn pad should get the wiring?

Thanks!

I think you are missing a horn contact pin and a contact ring.
The pin should be in the steering wheel and the ring in the steering column.
The cable from the horn pad connects to this pin.
The pin makes contact to the ring

Correct, contact ring is missing, now it all makes sense.

I checked the aftermarket steering wheel and it's hub extension, at the base of the extension is what looks like this https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91134709905.htm?pn=911-347-099-05-OEM

With a bit of luck it will fit the 3 spoke steering wheel, otherwise I will just find the correct contact ring.

Thanks for support!
