930 Engine shut off while driving

I have a problem with my 1987 930 that I hope the vast knowledge of this forum can help me with. Driving down the road my engine will just shut down no warnings no particular pattern that I can discern. The engine will restart after anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour. It will then go weeks without reoccurring or happen again in a few days. In the past few years I have had the fuel pump, ignition module, injectors, warm up module, ignition box among other things replaced. Has anyone out there dealt with a similar problem?

Not an uncommon problem. Discussed in depth over on the turbo forum.

I had several shut down for a while then the problem automatically went away. One of them was shutting down while driving, not a 911. It turned out that the battery pole connector problem. It was tight. it was clean. it looked good, not even sight of corrosion. Therefore no mechanic could tell. I took it off, sand with sand paper, tight it back up and problem completely gone after.
