3.6 conversion, where do you route the DME harness from under the seat to the engine?
Just like the title says,, where have you guys routed the DME harness from under the seat to the engine bay on conversions? The car is a mid year
Thanks! |
Speed,
lots of 3.6 conversion stuff using "search"... Here's what I did; http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565091262.jpg |
basically, the same way the factory did it. Just like the picture above!

For my 3.6 conversion track car, I mounted my DME unit vertically with vibration isolation spacers on the rear firewall behind drivers seat. Added another ground strap too. Harness passes thru 1 1/2" hole with big grommet on lower right vertical foot well wall. (harness plugs needed a hole this big to pass thru)
Relays mounted to rear center hump between seat wells. Also, just didn't want the brain of the car "laying down" on the job:D |
3rd gear is right......you want to mount the unit on isolators with additional grounding.
