How to attach plaque to engine grill?

What is the easy way to attach a commemorative circular plaque to the engine grill of a Carrera? Easily without removing the AC condenser?

Can the grill be detached from the outside? If not, is a speed-nut solution inserted through the grill honeycomb openings be a way to bolt on the plaque?

I see people driving around with such plaques (PCA, 70-year) but will affixing a round 4" plaque obstruct the airflow to be a concern?

I wound up dropping the condenser coil a few inches and using some screws with fender washers on the underside. I guess you could use some type of adhesive if you don't plan to ever remove it.

I don't think that one grill badge is going to impede cooling, but if you had lots of badges you were putting all over the grill, that might cause a problem. I put one badge on my 86, and it mounts with two all-thread studs, approx#4 size. My main concern was not having to drop the AC condensor, which I did, but the prospect of having one of those small nuts or studs vibrate off and fall in the fan or elsewhere. So, I used red locktite on both the studs threading into the badge and on the nuts themselves. The studs are small enough that I could cut them off if I need to to remove it in the futur

Drop the condenser a couple inches, which is easy to do. I used some button screws and a length of a zinc plated bracket and some nylon insert lock nuts.

Don't make a big project out of it... I attached a badge to my '88 using a bit of clear silicone caulk. Should be easy to remove if I ever needed to.
