Moderator-why am I no longer getting my regular daily forum updates
Hi,
Regular daily updates suddenly stopped this past weekend on all my subscribed Pelican forums. Can I do anything to correct this issue? TIA Johan |
Likewise. I have not received an email notification of updates to any of the threads I am subscribed to in the past two days.
Wasn't there just some "maintenance" done to Pelican's site? |
Hmmmm, I had a PM from a member about not receiving any email updates as well.
First things first.... -Did you guys check your spam folder to see if the emails are going there? -Did you log out, and log back in to start a new session? If you've done the two things above, and it doesn't fix things, let me know. |
No emails notifications for posts or PMs here also. Not going to junk. Also for several weeks I've had to manually mark the forum as read. This is in contrast to it automatically doing so in the past upon revisiting the forum.

While you are at it, subscribed threads doesn't work either...
Now if I want to see any threads I posted in, I have to go under my profile. Clicking subscribed threads only finds threads I posted in 6 months ago... Its been an issue for awhile, I just never mentioned it... |
Same problem as these guys, no update notifications on subscribed
threads. Please fix it. |

Any update? |
on another forum note I no longer am seeing threads in past visits in the lesser, thinner font. used to be if I looking in the AM and then later only the threads replied to were in the boldened font, now all threads are in bold every visit. was this a change in program formatting and what was the reason?
|
FWIW - same here....
Edit: Sorry Eric - missed 'the sticky' in 'OT' |
Me too.
I guess I won't get a email notice from this thread either. lol |

FWIW, I'm still not getting email updates.
I checked my settings and I am supposed to get updates. AND, I did not get an email notification of a PM that came in earlier today. |
and after the last Pelican Maintenance a few weeks ago, I lost all my PMs. I check with other member some lost some other did not.
|
No thread emails since 16 AUG for me. The marketing emails are still coming in. Checked settings, spam folder, Peilcan is in my address book, deleted all history files, cookies, etc. Still no joy.
|
We've altered our tech team and they're looking into this issue. Eric or I will post an update as soon as we hear back...sorry for the inconvenience guys!
|
I just received two thread emails - MORE random pics and Post Pictures of the Right Stance. Looks like the tech team is on the right trail.
|
Thanks for the update, Dmitry. Still no go updates for me, just to let you know,
Johan |
I just got an email for the new post by Johan (Uwon) so thank you for that.
I would love to be able to stay logged in now, that broke a year ago, but isn't critical. For some reason I can click my bookmark for Classifieds and that gives me a logged in screen. Then I click email links to get me to Technical and OT logged in. But just clicking on any link in email, Classifieds or otherwise, I get to the thread but I'm not logged in. |
Got my email updates this morning, hallelujah!
Cheers, Johan |
Not receiving emails from members through the forum.
Edit, now going to junk mail. Did receive one today. |
I have to manually mark the thread as read
I don't receive email notifications when I get a PM |
I've found the notification/tracking part of this forum has been sporadic for some time.
The tabs to take you to the latest post only work for the 1st dozen or so. Then it's like you never viewed it in the past. Sometime I get notification, sometime not. I have over a thousand instant email notification threads. Assuming we all do, it amazes me the server power they must have here without it going "boom". Not complaining, just saying …. |
I too am experiencing an issue with staying logged in. Whenever I close my browser I lose my log-in.
|
I'm really getting tired of having to log in every time I go to this forum. About to take a hike.

well..........not complaining...........but I'm still DOA for emails...........as I'm sure others are too.
Burp. |
We're still having the tech team look into it - asking them for updates as well.
|
Update:
Tech team found the issue and are actively working on getting everything restored and working properly. Thank you guys for your patience. |

Is that in the works ? |

We addressed and seemed to have resolved this issue on our end. Users sent me message saying that their updates have been restored. I checked your settings and everything seems to be in order. In regards to the http vs https (secured) inquiry, we're transferring the site to the secure version, but are not quite there. Since no credit card or bank info is being stored on the forums, there is nothing to be concerned about. Our tech gurus confirmed this. |

Just throwing this out there....
Whenever i reply to a thread the thread disappears. If i click on the new posts button the thread i replied to is gone. Only way i can find it again is to go to my profile page , statistics, find all posts by pete3799. What's up with that? |
