Unhappy 1976 911 targa Belgium police car?

Could my 76 911 targa have been a Belgium police car
I purchased my car in 1980 from a US army officer who bought it back from Belgium to Ft Lee Virginia.
I was just doing Google searches to identify the exact location of the fuel pump. So I come across a wiki search that talks about a very small production run of 911 targas for the Belgium police. Now here's the real kicker, it has a sirene installed under the dash. I did not know what it was for many years but at some point a few years back I happened to find a button on bottom of dash and pushed it. Low and behold it turned the siren on.
I always just assumed it was part of a security system until I ran across the wiki article.

So does anyone know how /where I could validate my suspicion.?

Interesting; this guy https://petrolicious.com/articles/gallery-go-behind-the-scenes-on-our-1976-porsche-911-targa-belgian-police-car-film-shoot says that there were 20, and that he has a list of the serial numbers.

He also said that they came with 2.7 RS motors, so maybe check the engine type/serial?

I cannot find contact information for for him. But definitely 2.7 engine with a built-in siren and same exact wheels as the one in the video, which is something else I have always thought to be unusual. Have never seen them on another car.

ATE Cookie cutter wheels were on a lot of Porsches as original equipment.
Lots of them have been swapped out to Fuchs, including mine.

Well, if its a numbers-matching 1976 narrow body with an MFI 2.7RS motor, it can only be one of the 20 Belgian police cars, it would seem:

Quote:
The Carrera 2.7 was replaced by the Carrera 3.0 for the 1976 model year, except for a special run of 113 1976 Carrera 2.7 MFI coupés were built for the German market featuring the 911/83 RS engine, with an additional 20 narrow-bodied 1976 Carrera MFI 2.7 Targas being supplied to the Belgian Gendarmerie. The 1976 Carrera 2.7 MFI Sondermodells were the last mechanically fuel injected 911 produced by Porsche, and still featured the 1973 RS engine.
Probably worth a COA...

Is the engine MFI or CIS?

I am not sure but always thought it was cis and knew what the difference is between the two.

I seriously doubt my car could be one of the 20 built for Belgium but it would be nice. I sent an email to people who produced the video. Hopefully I will hear back from them.

Does both types of fuel injection utilize an air box. Because I did have one blow up several years ago.

And how would I determine if I have a RS engine?

Belgium Police Car

We delivered several new wiring sets for Dutch Police Car's which were restored to their original condition. Especially the tunnel harness has several differences compared to the original drawing. There should be additional wiring to the Targa bar and for a siren on the rear decklid. The front harness was also modified.

Pull the engine type number and serial number off the case. It’s on the passenger side below the fan.
