Correct radio in 1982 911 SC

I would like to reinstall the correct factory installed radio in my 1982 911SC. Does anyone know what radio was installed in this car?

according to one of the restoration books it may depends on where you live but I show a Blaupunk (bad spelling I know) Monterey SQR22.

I have a 1982 911SC, the stock radio was a Blaupunkt Bamberg QTS. I imagine there were some radio options available, this was likely the base model...I am trying to recover my data on 1982s, if you like PM me in a couple of weeks and I will give you the complete option list of 1982 radios, if any.

A Blaupunkt Aspen was in my 79SC when I bought it in 1984. I'm not sure if it was the original but it sure looked like it. I still have it in storage.

My 1981 US 911SC came with a Blaupunkt CR 2001, but was a dealer installed option. I think most of the US delivered SCs had dealer installed radios, which were usually Japanese-made Blaupunkts.

Blaupunkt Bamberg Super Arimat QTS for a ROW if installed by factory but very very rare.

I would go for a Monterey. 1/3 of the price and all the features you need and period correct. Also more spare parts.

Alternative Becker Mexico (but more Mercedes than Porsche), but very in period.

The buttons on the Monterey fail and there are no correct parts available to fix those correctly, last time I had one in for service. There are a few work-arounds, but none that impress me.

based on what I have seen for the US market cars:
1979-1982 the Blaupunkt CR-2001 was the most common radio and they have small differences (button colors) between say a 1979 and a 1982 model radio. CR-2010 was a lower model that was also used in 79-80' cars.

Blaupunkt CR-3001 came out in 1981 and was very expensive as it was a digital radio. I have seen them in 81' cars but more often in 82' SC's. Bamberg QTS was also an option for 1982.

in 83' - 86' Monterey was the main radio installed, sometimes Charleston

I have an Aspen as well. I think all of those shaft style radios that featured ARI and Night illumination came out around 1984, then they started to switch over from the shaft-knobs style radios

I don't know about '82SC's. But my '79SC came with a "Porsche CR" radio installed, with the Porsche logo on the cassette door.
