I'll give you $35 each for those H-1 lenses
How about $30 each and a ride around the block in the green meanie?

pwd72s 03-26-2003 06:45 PM

You gotta deal...but you have to come to Oregon to get the ride. Let me know where to send the $60.

Mark Wilson 03-26-2003 06:54 PM

I'm moving to Seattle in the next couple of months. I'll take you up on the ride. Will email my addy.

pwd72s 03-26-2003 07:05 PM

Hoorah! Hope you got my email...believe me, the check is in the mail. And welcome...to mossyback country!

Redducati--what condition are yours in (reflectors and lenses), do you have the trim rings, and do they come with everything I need for the swap? Do I need to make any electrical adjustments? Thanks

redducati750 03-26-2003 07:40 PM

jeff1hughes 03-26-2003 08:23 PM

sam, great posts, but pleeaaase get new shades! Those are good for "sports" activities, but you need a nice set of Drivivng glasses! lol

redducati750 03-26-2003 08:29 PM

your gonna have an interesting facial tan line as well

pwd72s 03-26-2003 08:30 PM

I just want to plug Mark Wilson here...and nominate him as cool pelican poster of the day! The deal is, he'll send the lenses...for $30 each. When they arrive here, and IF I like them, I then mail him a check for $60, plus postage. Plus, of course, I owe him that ride...:D Sounds fair to me...

redducati750 03-26-2003 08:59 PM

If it works go with it, also if you ever have the urge to do some batting pratice you are all set.

SilverPoly 03-26-2003 09:10 PM

I'm sorry swbsam, I'm a great fan of your unique posting style with the cartoon dialogue and all but those shades went out with the 90s. Last time I saw them were when everyone and their grandmothers had them on at Lake Havasu.

Nobody probably knows where Lake Havasu is except for those of ya in Arizona! SmileWavy

London Bridge

redducati750 03-26-2003 09:16 PM

and i thought importing cars would be a pain in the ass

SilverPoly 03-26-2003 09:27 PM

That's right! Thanks to the real estate guru --> I forgot his name. He bought the original London Bridge and brought it over and assembled it piece by piece. McCullough, was it.. Geez it's been awhile.

I heard back in the day Lake Havasu was a resort for GIs coming back from the war.

Sorry to hijack the thread. I have H4s on my SC, if that matters.

H-1 lenses available at Performance Products for $40 each.

Page # 106 in new catalog....haven't called to see if there are any in stock.

Also....Weltmeister makes those shatterproof racing lenses for H-1's and H-4's...they are plastic though and more expensive than the glass.

Anyone have a nice set of H-4's to sell?

Will I need to have an in line fuse relay to redirect the increased amperage to H-4's? Is my stock '77 alternator rated for the H4 upgrade?

You definitely should have a pair of relays , one for highbeams, one for low-do a search, there is a ton of information here along with a link to a guy who does a relay kit for $20 that is well worth that. All the power on your existing headlight circuit goes directly thru the switch, a very bad idea.

In the Land of Lincoln and particularly in Al Capone home town of Chicago you can be stop if your car has the K-Mart blue light special headlight that some rice burner like to put on their cars.

The only exception is if the car came with the blue light special such as Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. in other word if you have the bucks the laws doesn't apply to you.

swbsam take pity on those with low bandwith will ya? :)

ruf-porsche 03-27-2003 10:30 AM

Hey SWBSAM

I agreed with you on the sunglasses. I have two pair of Porsche Design Carrera sunglasses, but I like the Oakleys that I use for skiing when I driving the P car.

As for your unique style of posting it's nice to put a face to the poster. You have a very creative talent, which is probably why you go through all the effort on your posts.

As for the poster complaining about bandwidth it time to upgrade your equipment or isp service.
