Hannibal Grey Leather?
For all eight, nine? of us that have the beautiful and classic and definitely-worth-the-trouble Hannibal Grey (HG) interior option, what are some options for sourcing leather in this color for matching upholstery?
My parcel shelf is shot and needs to be redone, but I'm also looking at doing my seats and no one sells kits in HG. Any recommendations? Edit: Oh, I don't have a signature set up. My car is an '82 911SC. Last edited by David Inc.; 06-17-2019 at 12:06 PM.. |

Excuse the mess as I was working on something in the interior, and also the lighting, but this is what it looks like. Kind of a light chocolate over black carpet.

Looks like Hannibal crossed the alps with those elephants before they were made into seats

How many miles does it take to get the seats this worn out? The passenger looks just as ratty as the driver, which seems odd as well.

the thing to do is to treat the leather as a preventative matter
Harleys & Leatherique are the ones I see mentioned most often by people with Porsches and other high buck old cars (MB, Italianos, etc.) |

It takes about 130,000 miles to get that kind of patina. It was also a Texas delivery and stayed in Texas for its entire life. The lighting over exposed the seats as well, the passenger looks much better in person.
The poor thing had seat covers when I bought it, though. :'( On the other hand my header stud nuts came off without a single swear word, and there's not a speck of rust on it, so there are silver linings. |
