Fiber Board over Brake Pressure Regulator

I suspect may catch some flak for this, since the answer probably is "just get some fiber board and make one yourself" or "that serves no function anyway", but...hypothetically speaking if one wanted to be extremely lazy and just buy this thing, does anyone know if it even has a part number and if so what it is? The triangular piece of fiber board in the frunk that theoretically protects the brake pressure regulator. See picture.

How thick it is? I'll bet I could laser cut those by the hundreds. I have material that should be very similar to it, called "Forbon" - a vulcanized fiberboard.

I just found mine. I don't recall ever seeing it before. Not too thick, I could cut those easy on my laser cutter for about $10-15 each.

Why not just tear apart some old Stratocasters for the material?

That's exactly what I would use. I have sheets and sheets of the fiberboard that I use for cutting out single coil bobbins. If my machine bed were large enough, I could do the firewall panel that covers the AC stuff as well. As it is, I plan on reproducing the wiring harness kick panels (behind the fuse block) for the 924 and early 944 cars... NLA for years, and all are rotted. Same material!

Wolfe - how do you bend it?

(I'm thinking of the fuse panel protectors on the early cars...)

Heat. I have one of these I use for flattening my material before laser cutting

It can also be used for bending. Heat, place into bending jig, and clamp. I did a test run with a 90 degree bend for the harness protector when I first had the idea. It worked pretty well.

Mines gone missing as well, any guesses if the later Carrera brake line cover is the same as the SC's?

Let me know if you end up cutting some!

Try to get into contact with David Etter from ‘The pad keeper’ , he made some of these covers in the nice black material he uses for the pad keeper.

My CAD skills are only mediocre, but if someone can cad up the 2D shape of those in DXF format, I can begin cutting them almost immediately.

I can do the cad, but don't have the part to model. I'll ask around and see if I can borrow one...

If you're able to find one and do that, yours is on the house!
