Rare sight

So when was the last time you saw a Porsche tractor pulling a Porsche turbo.
I had a customer trailer his 88 turbo cab down from Valdosta GA. to my property in Lake Wales yesterday. Cray azz drove right thru Tropical storm Nestor, i am glad he made it ok as there were reported tornados in the Orlando area just about the time he passed thru there. Car has been sitting for 2 years due to oil and fuel leaks and a host of other issue's so he is finally pulling the trigger on a top end and reseal job.

Engine has a bad fuel leak at the feed line to the accum. so could not be safely started. You should have seen his face when i broke out the Porsche tractor to pull his car in to the shop, he forgot all about his car and wanted to talk tractor.
Years ago i saw a pic. of a Porsche tractor pulling a 917, might have been the first RR and i thought at the time that was an awesome tow vehicle.
Contrary to what some people think they are very useful and not just cool conversational garage queens. (Although they are really good for that too LOL)

It would be rarer to see the turbo pulling the tractor, but I agree. Both beautiful.

Porsche Crest

I can help with that fuel leak from the Rear Pump to the Accumulator.

This is E-85 Rated and a direct replacement for your original. I also have the Copper crush rings if needed. You must specify the Banjo size as Porsche has upgraded them from 10mm to 12mm over the years. Easy to identify without disassembly, as the 10mm Banjo has a 17mmOD and the 12mm Banjo has a 19.8mm OD.

I wish i could figure out how to flip your pics Matt my neck is hurting. LOL
I also wish my 329 had a loader like yours Matt, then it would be even more useful putting engines up on the stand. I guess the old Ford 3930 gets to retain that privilege. I did a little research on the Lord attachments a while back and those things are super rare units.

Thanks Len i was going to give you a shout sometime this week. I dropped the motor this morning and its going to need several if not all of the fuel lines so i am hoping you can do or have more than just that one. I also have some core lines i want to discuss with you.

I will get a list together after tear down tomorrow. On the banjo fitting all rear turbo pumps from 80 and on are 12mm but i will make sure where on the same page on fitting sizes

I continue to do that in protest. It’s 2019. Pelican should invest in a BBS software that can cleanly upload both windows and Apple pictures.

Speaking of rare sights......

Back at the Hershey, PA Porsche Parade in 2005 I was at the Concours and stuck there helping. As things were shutting down and the golf course cleared of cars, the 917-30 was on a light uphill slope and figured it would be easier to just fire it up and drive back to the trailer. A Porsche tractor was next to it, and it fired up as well. Of course it was all on grass. The 917 tried to go and was spinning the wide slicks and had no traction and too much torque. It was creeping along spinng tires as the tractor just putted right past it.

So I witnessed and tractor out drag race a 917-30!

Regards,

That's me in the blue shirt driving the ALEGRA MOTORSPORTS JR.
Patrick Long is the guy looking back at the field. I wanted to pass his azz so bad but ran out of track, maybe next time they will let us run the full track including the Corkscrew.

I had an absolute blast racing Carlos's tractor (if you call 15 mph racing LOL).
I can still see all the people standing at the fence cheering us on, the tractor race was truly a hit. I cant wait for RRVII, next time i am taking my 329 super and will pass Pat Long no matter what it take's.

Here is another picture of me on the JR and a write up about the tractor race at RRVI in Grass Roots Motorsports Magazine. That same pic is on PORSCHE'S twitter site, i guess they own it because i tried to have some bumper stickers made with that image and several places turned me down citing copyright privilege.
