How to determine original engine number?
Many, many years ago, in the days before the internet I sent my cars original engine and a second engine to a Porsche engine rebuilder in Downey California. I am sure you all know who I am speak of?
Anyway, One engine made it back to New Jersey but not my cars original engine. I have no reason to believe my original engine was junk and discarded and believe it probably was resold. I know it is a long shot but if it does still exist I would like to try and locate it. The problem is I don't know the engines number. Anyone know where I can find that information? |

Well, if you know the VIN of the car it was originally in, then it is possible to find the engine #. If the car was earlier than 1970 then a Kardex can be obtained. From 1970 different data can be obtained. Email for more info.
