long vs short heater control box

Howdy all!

Working on getting heat in the 86 911 again. I ordered new heater control boxes. The car had short ones on there:

received one short and one long:

any reason I can't use the long one? (plus I like the integrated clamp)

Hope yall are having a great Monday!

Andrew

Then long one used the thermostat sensor installed easier than in the short one. Other than that the length has little to do with operation.
Then, I never saw the long one on the tight side..
