Help! Power seat barely moves

I need to remove my seat but it won’t move forward or backwards enough to access the attachment bolts. Any suggestions on how to remove it?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1571889110.jpg

Sometimes one flex cable comes out of the motor and the seat only moves a bit on the still driven side.

In addition to the above, you can try spraying some contact cleaner on the controls. My friend got his driver seat stuck forward in his 968 and I sprayed it with Deoxit D5 and it fixed it. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good! :)

Isn't there a manual drive accessible from the front of the seat?

DeOxit FTW! Many times it's all that's needed to fix this issue.

Yes, there is. Consult your owners manual.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.
Handbrake: it’s on the list but lower in priority than the seat. I’ll over 6 ft so a higher priority is the seat. I got this car last year and slowly working it back to health. I think I have all mechanical dialed in. I love working on these cars.
The seat switch is fine. The front servo motor works. It looks like there are two screwdrives, one on each side of the seat driven by the one motor at the front. the outside screw drive functions properly however the inside does not move. I looked at the Bentley manual and there’s nothing about how to remove a power seat when not operating. If anyone has an excerpt from the owners manual about how to do that, I would appreciate some advice.

Crap. I found the front screw but the plastic gear broke.

Pull the cable out of the motor and turn it with anything that fits the square end, like mini visegrips, or a mini crescent wrench, etc. then walk the seat back by alternating the motor on one side and manually turning the cable on the other.
