Accel Pull Rod

Received a new Accelerator pull rod (930.110.09.8.05). The female ball on the end appears to be slightly smaller than the one that came off (old one). Anyone know if there are two versions that are different size?

Its a PITA to put on (behind and below the throttle body) so hoping to find out ahead of time if I will be trying to force on a part that wont fit.

Thanks,

89 Carrera G50

That ball socket is usually a pain in the butt to release from the bellcrank lever that is on top of the engine. It's a TIGHT fit. I have bent two of the lever uprights in my experience of attempting to release that connection. So I would suggest using some lubricant to make the snap-fit of the connection go together easiest

The ball socket i got is smaller then the original one. Curious if the part year is different. Maybe it will fit. Find out tomorrow when i try to put it on. Getting it off was easy as it kept falling off when driving.

Well its on. Did not feel it pop on but could see it and it looks like it is on all the way. Went for a test drive and it stayed on. Will see. Was also able to adjust it and think i am getting full throttle now as well.

So far so good.
