Lol, i hear you! I was going to buy a AC fuse cable last night but passed on the $11.75 shipping. Seriously it’s a little cable that can go in a simple first class envelope. It’s ridiculous.

Congratulations. You have just discovered the main difference between online buying, and a brick and mortar store. Actually, there are evidently other differences, but in our limited parts world, the shipping is a big deal.

I dunno, was very happy to see that Pelican now offers free shipping on (virtually) all orders over $100 -- hasn't been hard for me to find the few other things necessary to meet/exceed the $100 free shipping threshold and don't feel it's inappropriate for Pelican to bill for the expenses it incurs to process/ship orders under $100

I bought rotors, wheel bearing seals, and pads. It was over the 100 dollar threshold.

There are times I need something and I pay whatever the shipping cost happens to be. There are other times I can wait and put an order together and save the shipping..... to me it all washes out in the end.

I've ordered thousands of dollars from Pelican in the past. Just as a side note.

Maybe Pelican should offer Prime style shipping? Pay $70 now and get
“Free” shipping for a year

Consider contacting a local independent shop in your area. Chances are they can can get the same product in around 30-90mins at a comparable price... I could go on and on about the parts side of the industry, but won't...

sometimes I don't get the shipping $$.
my wife can order shoes, free shipping to get them AND free shipping to return.
no, the prices aren't hi, same as department store.

I have ordered a gasket from here and paid around $10 shipping.
stick the thing in an envelope and put a stamp on it.....

I use to be pretty loyal here but now I price shop as there are much better deals out there.

try this place for pads

It is especially tough on East Coasters. Slow and pricey, but sometime you just have to bite the bullet and support the cause.

The companies in the US mostly farm out their shipping to outside companies and they make their substantial profit also. I prefer to use UK and European companies now who will do their own packaging/shipping and even use padded envelopes for small items. Shipping from the US for a decal (to Australia) in the 'standard package' was $35.00! Pelican responded to my question about this by saying that they are 'looking at' the issue. Too little too late.

I will also order stuff from Pelican that I don't really need right then in order to get above the free shipping threshold, but have also been able to find identical items on Ebay that are sometimes less expensive and offer free shipping without having to spend $100 or more. It's amazing what unexpected items you'll find on that site. See if your pads are listed there.
