Battery hold down & washer bottle set up
For my 1966 911 With the Battery placement, washer bottle and pump, I decided it was all too hard using the Porsche locations and went down a different path.
I fabricated a 5mm steel plate with 3mm bottom keeper and clamp for the battery hold down, clamps on the protruding bottom edge front and back of the battery. I used the two existing tapped holes in the chassis apron for hold down the plate. For the washer bottle and pump I fabricated a bracket that utilizes two of the front fender fastening bolts and lower down a support to the chassis and a rubber buffer under the pump mounting. I know it's not Porsche accurate, but heaps better for access. I have attached some picks of the battery mounting plate and washer bottle support installed. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice....I pulled the 'huge' water tank (windshield and headlight washer tub) and will put a small in frunk system too..... it rains so rarely I've actually never needed it in AZ.
