Quick visit on the celette to make sure that there’s nothing funky going on

Let the slow and tedious process of shaving and smoothing out the rear tub. Lots of brackets and holes to fill not to mention odd asymmetrical areas that I want to look more symmetrical.

Ruf reported that the portion of the rain gutter next to the windshield caused an enormous amount of drag so they removed it. However they went ahead and removed the entire gutter as others have done like Jimtweet on here. I wanted to do something different so I eliminated the portion that created the drag and contoured the rest. We actually did quite a bit of modification to the remaining portion by taking off the upward turned portion and also changed the angle at which it lays relative to the body. The original gutter is almost 90 degrees or perpendicular to the roof where mine now angles closer to 55 degrees. Gave it a neat little brow at the front which we may see as a reoccurring design detail in the future on this project. It’s kind of ironic that this little line detail that gives an illusion of speed quickly became one of my favorite thus far being that I called this portion of our company Speedline. I couldn’t be happier with how it came out. What do you guys think?

I think the modified gutter looks really good! Did you still have to weld the gutter after removing the folded portion of it and if so, was that less painful than full gutter removal ?

Next up are the trim panels. Cleaned up and simplified. Front door cap’s profile depth wise was significantly reduced so that it lines up better with the custom dashboard.........to be continued along with a rear trim panel cap

OH MY LANTA!!!
These are the nip-tuck details that only the true enthusiast will be able to acknowledge on the final product...yet they will make the car so dramatically different than all others. Tremendous. Also, popcorn in the micro. Waiting for MOAR Progress |
I sold my 930 nearly a year ago. I miss the shape, the power and the presence. I don't miss how she was a PITA and refused to steer ... I ran sticky 315 R888Rs in the back! Great stance, but ... understeer. Then again she stuck like glue!

You calling the gutter mod "LA gutters" or "Hollywood gutters"?
