Help with Billy Boat Mufflers #fpor0465?

Hi,

I came across these mufflers. with the #fpor0465 part numbers. The website have limited information on them. and youtube doesn't have any clips about these mufflers.

Anyone has these installed? How do they sound?

My car is 79 with stock headers, cat and some aftermarket 1in 1 out muffler. , i assume these will require equal length headers? would they match up with other aftermarket headers or Billy boat stuff is proprietary?

All the B&B mufflers that I've ever seen have a B&B proprietary inlet spacing that is incompatible w/ other 911 Inlet spacing like SSI or early factory.

You need B and B headers to match that muffler.

I have that muffler in my car.

Or have a local exhaust shop use some mandrel bends, cut off those intake piped between the header and the muffler, and fab up a new one.

Would you mind uploading some sound clips please? How do you like the sound? Any drones?

It's on a track car.

It's very very loud. But passed sound 98db at the local tracks

I'll see if one of my friends shoots something while driving.

Consider a one out type of muffler if cabin drone matters to you

You can reduce the noise by the tail pipe size.

You could have a muffler shop adapt the left half to your car and cap the middle crossover.

Here is a picture of the headers and muffler i have for sale. The actual headers are still on the car and are exactly like the headers in the picture. 1650 for just the headers or 1650 for the headers and muffler, please fees and shipping.
The headers are BB headers and mufflers and are stainless, so they do clean up really well.

I had B&B headers and mufflers on my '83 SC and it sounded awesome. however, there was crazy drone between 2 and 3k RPM, which is ok I guess since your not suppose to go below 3 anyway...

on my 3.2, I had a cat bypass with a M&K muffler (1 in / 1 out) and it sounded perfect--zero drone, more aggressive than stock, and would provide the occasional pop when downshifting.

The headers I have are the correct headers to make your current heat work.

I have a similar setup at the moment. I like it. It's easy for me to swap the cat and bypass around for smog. With the B&B. it will be more challenging...

Kevin, smog is really what's holding me back. But the header would be perfect for my motor. My motor is a an Andial 3.3. The better flow will sure free up the engine.

I really don't know anything about smog. It seems like your car should age out or your should be able to put cats on headers. New 911 cars have aftermarket exhaust.

That muffler will bolt to these headers with no fabrication.
