Mark, Question #1: We’re you referring to the six (6) springs, washers, and Allen bolts that secure the AFM (air flow meter) to the air box? Question #2: The adhesive side of the foam or cork gasket could go to either AFM or to the airbox. However, I find it more convenient to mount the gasket to the AFM side when the motor is installed in the car. The gasket is merely a dust shield to keep dirt or dust into the outer airbox area. RE Question #1. Yes, Allen head bolts have 20mm springs, looks like the design is to act like pop off valve i.e. if presure in the top section of the air box is greater than atmospheric then the AFS will lift an vent air. Question #2. Thanks I fitted it to the AFS as after closer inspection its surface was the only one with remnants of adhesive still on it. Cheers Mark |
