how do you know they are bent?

The fasteners are not powder coated, the wheels were fully disassembled prior to coating and no, they were not dropped after the coating. The refinisher is a friend of mine and treats me well, and feels bad for what’s happened. Lessons are learned all around.

If they were bent they would have been relatively easy to repair. Two of these wheels have actually been twisted.

I agree with dg567. When I had my 7s and 8s by Al Reed he checked them to be true before restore. I think the seller is being fair to refund you after time past and the rims being taken apart. Its sucks that this happen. I almost also bought those rims right before you did. If it were me I would just bite the bullet and continue to fix them. At least you will know what you have after all said and done. You did get the rims at a good price. Good luck!

I purchased a set of 3pc Fuch wheels as well from a Pelican member some time back. Wheels were reported as in good shape and true. Plan was to paint or powder coat them. Before I spent any money on them I took them to a wheel repair shop and had them checked out. They showed me on the balance machine where one wheel wobbled badly. I asked if this could be repaired and was told "no guarantees". My choice now was to contact the seller and return them or go deeper. My assumption was the guy who sold them to me did not intentionally sell me a bad wheel. I chose to attempt the fix. Fortunately the wheel guy was able to repair the wobble and in the end I ended up with exactly the look I was after. All that cost me a small fortune but all in all I'm happy, it all worked out.

I’m in the same boat Brian, and looks like I’m going to double down and get this done right.
