2002 boxster back firing after throttle body and maf cleaning
Just finished cleaning throttle body and Maf sensor. Followed 1 minute wait after ignition on but upon start up running rough and back firing. Any ideas? Was running fine before cleaning. Should have just let it alone. Thanks for any ideas.

try switching to PMO's, and retard timing

on a serious note, did you use the proper cleaner on the MAF? check for vacuums leaks/missing hoses. let the sensor "recalibrate" itself by driving. and go to the boxster forum for more info.

MAF sensors are picky about what products are used to clean them.
This was an issue back in the day when the LS1 first came out. I agree with driving it and seeing if the issues go away. Otherwise, try cleaning with isopropyl alcohol very gently. Last edited by Locker537; 12-02-2019 at 07:55 AM.. |
