Calling all brake gurus!
My head is spinning from looking at brake posts.... can anyone give me some guidance on fit?
I have a 76 911s running 16’s with turbo spacing in front. Hoping that SC calipers will work in the front. They are 3.5 spacing and I have the matched rotors. I want to leave the rears unchanged if possible. The system is not boosted. Trying to get an idea of my options. Thanks Pelicans! |

all are 7ET23.3 or 8 ET10.6 or 9 ET15 for 911 or 930 use, 15 & 16 are the same spec for the same width, There is a 944 7ET23.3 w/ extra brake clearance and there is also a 944 8 ET23.3 also w/ extra brake clearance The 944 7 can be used interchangeably w/ the 911 7 while the 944 ET would have a different use than a 911 8 For a '76 9111 w/ struts that have 3.5' mounts and A or S calier can be used. The A's were used on SC, there is also a wide A that uses a thicker rotor that was used on 3.2 C and can also be used here. Good choice not to touch the rears. |
Thanks Bill!

careful changing just the fronts. You dont want to change the bias to the front. Needs to be balanced. You can usually get what you need from the stock brakes by getting the right pad for your driving style.
