WARNING About part # 930 110 494 01
It has been Superseded by part # 930 110 494 02 which I Hope Resolved the Problem I just had. I bought this Fuel Line that goes between the Fuel Distributor and the Warm Up Pressure Regulator about 7 years ago. I Bolted it in and Started Up the car but it was not running Right, so I turned the engine off only to find Fuel Squirting from the Fuel Distributor end of the Line. When I removed it and Measures everything I found that the Distance between the end of the Fuel Line and the End Of the Cap was “.7 of a Millimeter Difference not to mention the Taper Of the Fuel Line is Slightly Different also.
So I removed “1.5” MM from the end of the Fitting and put it back one and tightening. No LEAKS and No Problems. So check this when Installing this Line. ![]()

Did the flare portion seal and bottom out or did the "nut" side run out of thread?

i ordered the fuel line (930-110-494-02-OEM from our host here and I just installed it. I am experiencing the same problem Vincent described in his original post, "fuel squirting out when I turn on the ignition. I thought this new version of the line would fix the problem.
Vincent, what do you mean by this "So I removed “1.5” MM from the end of the Fitting and put it back one and tightening."? Could you please explain to me in more details? Do you need a special tool to tighten up the nut? Could Vincent or someone please help me with this? Thank you |

hi Tony, my wife came up with a "honeydo" list for me for the rest of the weekend. I will have to remove the new line sometimes tomorrow when I get a chance. I will take a picture and share. My bad for assuming that since I received the new line, it should work fine. Not sure if it makes any difference since my car is a european model instead of a US-spec car. Will find out soon.

unfortunately i could not slide the nut of fuel line end going to the fuel distributor backward to take a picture. However I put the old fuel line back on the car and there was no leak. So I am pretty sure mine is somehow different and even with the part # Vincent mentioned it still didn't fit properly. In any case, I am going send my old fuel line to Len Cummings for him to retrofit a new Polyamide tube with a rubber cover. That should solve the problem.

If anyone runs into this problem in the future -
930 110 494 02 definitely has a fitting that is too long on the fuel distributor side. I had the same problem with fuel spraying on my airbox. The fix for this was to sand off about 1 MM of the end of the fitting, clean out all the metal debris on the fitting, and then install the part. Works like a charm and doesn't leak. Seems like a pretty dangerous oversight on Porsche's part though. |

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the fix and it's now on the car.
That said, it's pretty easy. I marked ~1 mm at the end of the flare nut with a sharpie and just held the end against a sander until it had sanded away enough of the end of the nut. the fitting on the WUR side works fine though. So, that's all you need to do to get it to fit. |

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I need to replace this on my 83. Is this line pressurized? Am I going to hose down my garage when I loosen the fittings?
