wheels, does anypne know anything about this company

Like many others of you i would love to find a nice set of Ruf 17's but i am realistic. The facts are, they're just not that easy to find anymore. I dont recall where but i came across this company and their wheels but it seems like a good choice. I dont care for the look of fitting later model Porsche wheels to the pre 89 cars and these guys actually use the cores from your Fuchs to make nice 17's. They retain the original look ( which i like ) but let you use more modern lower profile rubber.

Here is the link

http://www.lindseyracing.com/wheel2.htm

any feed back would be appreciated before plunk down the cash.

Jack Olsen uses them on his refurbed BB2... I think he swears to their quality and such. Try sending him a PM or email.

All the best!

Yup, that's my car. I think I was the first customer they made a set for. Previously, they'd run a set on their own race 951 for 5 years, without any problems.

All things considered, there's no statistically significant pool of users to demonstrate that they're as strong as factory Fuchs. I've never heard of a set failing, but there aren't all that many sets out there, even now.

I had two sets that I used on the narrow-body configuration of my car, and now have two sets for the widebody iteration.

I'm very happy so far.

However, if you're planning on running full race slicks, and you're very concerned about wheel failure, then Lindsey's 3-piece wheels are stronger, in theory at least.

I am not planning on running much at all on the race track. In fact this car is a fair wether daily driver. I was interested in the quality of the product. You seem to knopw a great deal so i'll ask another question. On my 87 carrera what would be a good size wheel to move up to, if i dont want to roll the fender lip? Basically what widths and tire size would work best? Thanks to everyone for your help.
