Calling ALL Melbourne Aussie Posters!!!
G'Day
 I just want to get some idea of the # of Melbournian posters on this Forum. Please list your name, type of 911, location and alarm's RF specifications (joke). I have a triple black '89 Carrera Cab SuperSport and live around the Sth Eastern Suburbs. I know of two others by the name of Stuart Jack and Victor Coppa. Anyone else? Don't be shy

I live and work in Mont Albert. My car is a 1974 911 Carrera 2.7 (MFI). The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt 5,000kms ago, and the car goes on the dyno tomorrow (finally!) for a proper tune-up. My mechanic, John Gregory of Spyder Automobiles fame (also Paul's mechanic), thinks that 260-270bhp is what the engine should be developing after we modify the stacks and the exhaust -- I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow! Here are some snaps from that Melbourne-based Pelicaner convoy. My car is the beige one, and that gorgeous red 911 belongs to Paul.  Hey, what's a SuperSport? Victor & Stuart invited me to the last one, but I was P-less at the time (car was in the workshop). A SuperSport is a factory optioned Turbo-look Carrera with the 930 body/brakes/suspension. The only thing the SuperSport did NOT have was the Turbo's Tie Rods. Another cost cutting exercise courtesy of Porsche. WOW! Just did an Option Decode on my car and I get the following:
Code Option Description 243 Shorter gear shift lever 438 Comfort seat right 439 Special model "Weissach" [1980] 439 Electric Cabriolet top 454 Automatic speed control 490 Hi-Fi sound system 491 Turbo look 559 Air conditioner (with front & rear condenser) 935 Seat cover rear RLL 975 Velour carpet in luggage compartment 980 Seat cover - Raff - leather C23 Version for Australia You can do yours at http://ip212.kindel.com/Porsche/options.asp You need the Guarantee and Maintenance Manual to determine which option codes you have on yours.
