Where to find longer thread oil drain plug?
I'm looking for a longer thread version of the oil plug for a 1976 Porsche 911, I just want to grab a few more threads because they are slightly stripped and I can't fit the crush washer with the shorter drain plug. I fee like I used to see them on this site but have not been able to find them. Any help would be great, thanks!

It's not an unusual thread size. I have found suitable drain plugs at my local auto parts stores. Bring it in so you can match it up, and I bet you can find a longer one pretty easily.

I recall but can't confirm a Toyota drain plug. NAPA stores have a large library of parts catalogs (with illustrations). Once you find the correct thread size and vehicle application, the next challenge is to find one long enough for your situation.
